Music Page
It's been quite a long time since I blogged but I have done work between that time.
To Note: Our due date has been postponed to next term so Yay! Luckily I have FrontPage at home and get to work on it :)
So as mentioned before I have 9 pages.
My Log in Page, I have a box for the User name and Password where the visitor has to type the designated user name and password to enter my site. Using the javascript I successfully did that. So if the user name and password are correct,in the script I have copied and pasted the designated location, which is my homepage. At first I did not know how to do this but figured out that I had to first open my homepage in the web browser and then copy and paste the 'URL' into the script.
Now lets say for instance the visitor has incorrectly typed in the user name and password,it will directly go to the Failure Page which I made. On this failure Page I have also put a 'Back' Button( quite easy to make, just use the interactive button tool). So the visitor can go back to the log in page to try again!
I have also added in something extra. When the visitor first enters the Log in Page they will be asked for their name and when they have typed it and clicked 'Ok', on the top of the page it will say, Good morning or Good afternoon ( according to time of day) and their name inserted. So I'm happy with that :)
So far my Homepage, About Me, My Dream Job, Music and Celebrities I Heart Pages all have a menu and they successfully work! So that's great. I have positioned the menu's at the different places. I prefer to put menu's on each page rather than 'Back to Homepage' Buttons so it was interactive for the visitor.
'My Family, whenever I try to put a menu on, it always says error and some parts of the menu don't work, so that is something I have to figure out why.
'My Dream Job' Page I have recently placed hyperlinks. So the user clicks on it and are able to download the file. Its easy to make a hyperlink when it comes to Word documents but I am trying to figure out how to make a hyperlink for a website, video and music files. So the hyperlinks on 'My Dream Job' page are both Microsoft Documents and contain information on astronomy related issues.
I am yet to do my IST Careers Page, only page I need to do! But I have decided that I am going to put an extra feature called ' Spin the Wheel' , this is where I list a number of IST related website in which the visitor can go to. Now the button at the bottom is 'Spin the Wheel' so when the visitor clicks this button it chooses which website and the visitor is able to go it. It's something fun and where the visitor can learn more about IST related issues.
My Music page have videos (6) and pictures and I also have an extra feature. I have installed a search engine box for the user to search You tube. So all they have to do is type in name of artist, song etc..Click Search and it directs them to Google, where the Youtube videos are and they choose which video they want and they're on the Youtube site watching whatever video clip.
My 'Celebrities I Heart' Page I have like a slideshow of pictures. Some of the pictures are not proportional to each other, something I have to work on and when I view them on the browser they always seem to be on the side, when I want them to be in the middle, it is probably because the page extends up and down, but I dont want that, so I have to work on that!
So far, So good.
I plan to add other compressed zip folders and down loadable files to other pages, such as
-About Me
-IST Careers
-Music
-Celebrities I Heart
One more thing, BACKGROUND MUSIC, I have tried so many times that it is not funny. I unfortunately cannot put background music onto my homepage page and I dont know why. I know that you have to go to page properties etc....but it just doesn't work, whatever song I put. I will get it eventually.
[All my pages have pictures and different designs and backgrounds which I am extremely happy about.]
*Still have to do my storyboard!!!
Pictures are above :)
